Lazy Girl Running — Privacy Policy

Lazy Girl Running ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and how it's handled when you use our website, Training Tilt platform, or sign up to a membership or coaching service.

1. Who we are

Lazy Girl Running is a UK-based running coaching business operated by Laura Fountain. For any questions about this policy or your data, contact hello@lazygirlrunning.com.

2. What we collect

Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:

  • Account details — name, email address, when you sign up for a membership, newsletter, or the webinar
  • Payment information — processed securely by Stripe; we do not store your full card details ourselves
  • Training data — workouts, distances, times, and other activity data you log or sync via Training Tilt, including from connected devices/apps (e.g. Garmin, Strava)
  • Health-related information you choose to share — for example, if you tell us about an injury, pregnancy, or medical condition when requesting a plan pause. This is only used for the purpose you shared it for, and is kept only as long as necessary
  • Communications — emails, survey responses, or messages you send us
  • Website usage data — via standard analytics/cookies (see Section 6)

3. How we use your data

We use your data to:

  • Provide and manage your membership, coaching, or training plan access
  • Process payments and manage billing
  • Send you service-related communications (e.g. plan updates, billing notices)
  • Send you marketing communications, where you've opted in (e.g. our newsletter) — you can unsubscribe at any time
  • Respond to enquiries and provide support
  • Improve our plans and services (e.g. via anonymised or aggregated survey feedback)

4. Who we share it with

We share data with third-party services that help us run our business, including:

  • Training Tilt — our coaching and plan delivery platform
  • Stripe — for secure payment processing
  • Substack  — for newsletter delivery
  • Garmin, Strava, and similar — only where you choose to connect your own account for syncing training data

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

5. How long we keep your data

We keep your data for as long as you have an active membership or account with us, and for a reasonable period afterward for legal, accounting, or legitimate business purposes. You can request deletion of your data at any time (see Section 7).

6. Cookies

Our website may use cookies for basic functionality and analytics. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

7. Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Ask us to correct inaccurate data
  • Ask us to delete your data ("right to be forgotten"), subject to any legal obligations we have to retain it
  • Withdraw consent to marketing communications at any time
  • Complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) if you believe your data has been mishandled

To exercise any of these rights, email hello@lazygirlrunning.com.

8. Health data — a note

Where you voluntarily share health-related information with us (for example, requesting an injury or pregnancy pause on an annual membership), this is treated as sensitive data under UK GDPR. It is used only for the specific purpose you shared it for, is not used for any other purpose, and is not shared beyond what's necessary to action your request.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top will reflect the most recent changes.
